In this post, we’re sharing the difference between the MagiCover and MagiCover Plus warranties, and what exactly is covered under each. Let’s begin.
What’s the difference between the MagiCover warranty and MagiCover Plus warranty?
The table above shows a breakdown of both warranties and shares which printers are covered under each warranty.
The MagiCover Limited warranty includes:
- 2 or 3 year manufacturer warranty – this covers poor workmanship, manufacturing defects and component failure
- 6-week replacement window – during the first 6 weeks of purchasing the printer
- Tech support that can be accessed via magicard.com
The MagiCover Limited warranty is Magicard’s standard warranty.
Which printers are covered by the MagiCover Limited warranty?
- Magicard Pronto
- Magicard Pronto 100
- Magicard 300
Note: The specific cover for each Magicard printer may vary, depending on the machine. Refer to the table above for more information.
The MagiCover Plus warranty includes the same as the standard MagiCover warranty, as well as some extra cover.
The MagiCover Plus warranty includes:
- 3 year manufacturer warranty – this covers poor workmanship, manufacturing defects and component failure
- 6-week replacement window – during the first 6 weeks of purchasing the printer
- Free loan printer/hot swap – receive a free swap out loaner printer if a repair is required (stock dependant)
- Free 3-year printhead replacement
- Tech support that can be accessed via www.magicard.com
- Option to add a 1 year warranty extension – this 1 year extended warranty option allows you to increase your machine’s cover by an additional year
The MagiCover Plus warranty is Magicard’s enhanced warranty.

What are the conditions of the warranties?
Both the MagiCover and MagiCover Plus warranties are conditional on the use of approved Magicard consumables such as Magicard ribbons and the observance of correct routine maintenance and frequency.*
Which Magicard ID printer is right for me?
