HID Fargo HDP5000e - Exceptional Just Evolved
The FARGO HDP5000e card printer emerges as the next iteration of Fargo high-definition printing solutions. Built on the success of its predecessor, the HDP5000, the HDP5000e brings new customer-inspired features and enhanced usability to deliver superior print quality.
The HDP5000e is exceptionally reliable, which means less overall maintenance and decreased printer downtime. The team at HID are so confident in the reliability of this printer that they're offering an extra year of coverage at no additional cost, giving you a total of 4 years of manufacturer warranty protection on the HDP5000e.
If you are printing to a non-technology/access control card, we recommend using the HID 82136 UltraCard Premium Composite Cards for premium results.
For applications requiring a technology/access control card, we recommend you opt for a card that is manufactured from a PET/Composite material or are of 100% polycarbonate construction. PET composite and 100% polycarbonate constructions provide a better user experience during the printing process due to the increased heat resistance these cards offer.
Please note, 100% PVC cards are not recommended for use with this machine due to the risk of card warpage (heat exposure from retransfer and lamination rollers).
HDP5000e retransfer film and YMCK ribbons offer the most images per roll (1500), reducing the amount of time spent reordering consumables compared to other retransfer printers on the market.

The new OLED menu screen located at the front of the machine has been enhanced to display in higher definition. Menu options and printer statuses become easier to read improving the overall user-experience.
Where brand image or corporate appearance is paramount, the HDP5000e excels. With the improvements made to colour profiling technology, delivering lifelike, high-definition and vibrant colour cards every time.
Utilising the printer driver settings, the user can select the card type that most closely resembles the card on which they are printing. The printer will automatically self-adjust the settings to deliver an optimal printing experience. The results range from maintained print quality, less card destruction and waste and card jams are significantly alleviated. This feature is a game changer for those printing onto an access control card which cost around three to four times the price of a standard composite card.
The new smooth exterior is easier to maintain and reduces the amount of dust and grime gathering on the machine increasing both the print quality and longjevity of the machine.
The printer uses AES-256 encryption between the computer and printer. Card data remains secure at all times eliminating any sniffer/hacker attacks and gives the user additional peace of mind.
Cards printed on a retransfer printer have a longer lifespan due to their resistance to wear, fading, and scratching. This additional longevity is beneficial for those looking to reduce both the cost and time involved in reprints.
